Seabrook Island

Seabrook Island, South Carolina

Nestled along the Atlantic Seaboard, just minutes from the heart of downtown Charleston, lies Seabrook Island. In addition to having one of the longest stretches of private beach along the Carolina coastline, this gated community is home to an unspoiled island paradise with a spectacular range of wildlife and a thriving ecosystem. Unlike most communities, which are owned by developers, Seabrook is entirely owned and governed by its residents.

Seabrook offers a wide range of amenities. Residents can hit the links on either of the two championship golf courses, take to the courts at the nationally known tennis center, tame their inner cowboy on one of the East Coast’s only beachfront horseback rides, or just relax by one of the pools: The options are endless.

Whether you’re looking for a beachfront villa or a gracious Southern charmer along an oak-lined avenue, Seabrook Island offers luxury homes designed to fit every lifestyle.

Size Matters: Seabrook Island is large enough to provide world-class amenities, yet small enough to maintain the feeling of a tight-knit community.

Keep Your Cool: Even in the hottest part of the S.C. summer, the cool ocean breezes of the Atlantic make the long days relaxing and enjoyable.

That Secure Feeling: Seabrook is a private, gated community. Only residents and their guests are allowed access onto the island. A guard carefully inspects each vehicle that arrives, and 24-hour patrols keep a watchful eye over the entire property.

Take a Swing at Happiness: Two championship golf courses keep you on top of your game. The Crooked Oaks Golf Course, designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr., is a par 72 course that winds through marsh, maritime forests and moss-hung, century old live oaks. Ocean Winds Golf Course, designed by Willard Byrd, is also a par 72 course that takes you to the Atlantic Ocean, where the swirling breezes provide a challenging test of ability. Unlike all other Charleston-area golf resorts, Seabrook’s courses are not open to the public. This privacy ensures residents and resort guests alike a refreshing pace of play, available replay rounds and superb service.

Watering Holes: When it’s time to cool off, residents can choose from the refreshing spray of three-and-a-half miles of private beaches or a dip in one of the Beach Club’s two swimming pools. Seabrook also offers a number of poolside activities for children and families throughout the summer.

A Safe Harbor: Bohicket Marina and Yacht Club, adjacent to Seabrook Island, is a full-service facility that can accommodate yachts up to 200 feet. The marina contains 200 wet slips and 100 dry slips, full electrical power, a ship’s store, dining and shopping. This large boating complex is located only three-and-a-half miles from the Intracoastal Waterway and Atlantic Ocean.

The Shape of Things to Come: Residents can tone up at the state-of-the-art fitness center or rent a bike for a beachfront ride from the Beach Club.

Tennis, Anyone?
Seabrook’s Racquet Club facility consists of 15 professionally maintained clay tennis courts for day play and a full-service Pro Shop, including men's and women's apparel, equipment, accessories and racquet stringing services. The Racquet Club also offers USPTA certified pros for lessons and clinics.

Beam Me Up, Scotty:
Located only minutes from Charleston, Seabrook offers convenient access to interstates and the Charleston International Airport.

What They’re Saying About Us: Seabrook residents appreciate the island’s natural, pristine beaches and world-class amenities. Residents also prefer the self-governing nature of the Seabrook Property Owners’ Association. Unlike most properties, which are owned and managed by developers, Seabrook is completely owned and governed by its residents.
