Cottage-Style Homes Come to Currahee Club

by Jessica Wright on July 1, 2008

Batson Cook Development Co., in partnership with Millichap Development Group, has broken ground on Coneflower Lane Cottages, a 20-cottage neighborhood at Currahee Club, a golf, lake and mountain community in Toccoa, Ga. Designed by nationally acclaimed architect Keith Summerour of Summerour and Associates, the homes blend traditional southern architecture with high-quality craftsmanship.

Coneflower Lane Cottages, set among an expanse of beautiful purple coneflowers, will offer residents stunning views of the sixth, seventh and eighth holes and surrounding ridgelines.

“Currahee Club is focused on family, and we wanted that to be evident in the design and layout of the cottages,” Summerour says. “The floor plans of these homes are conducive to conversation and interaction, and natural elements are showcased throughout the homes to complement their surroundings.”

The semi-circular layout of Coneflower Lane Cottages features a central motorcourt where homeowners can store their cars and golf carts. A stone fireplace with an oak timber mantel is the centerpiece of each home, providing a gathering spot for family and friends. With architectural accents like rough-sawn wood walls and cedar shingles, the homes blend seamlessly into the mountain landscape. Oversized screened-in porches provide the ideal spot to watch the sun set over the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Prices for Coneflower Lane Cottages begin at $729,000. The available floor plans for these two-story cottages include 4 bedrooms and 3.5 baths, 3 bedrooms and 3.5 baths and 3 bedrooms and 2.5 baths.
