The Preserve Communities’ Developer Contributes to Area Charity

by Jessica Wright on September 3, 2008

Thanks in part to a $10,000 contribution made by a Western North Carolina developer, a therapeutic horseback riding center serving Buncombe and Madison Counties will be able to expand its services to clients with special needs.

Outdoor enthusiast and developer, Jack Fisher of The Preserve Communities – which includes French Broad Crossing, The Preserve at Little Pine and Highland Forest – recently made the sizable donation to Mountin’ Hopes Therapeutic Riding Center out of his own love for horses and a desire to see people with special needs have the opportunity to enjoy horses.

“Supporting Mountin’ Hopes was a natural fit for us,” observes Fisher.  “Our company strives to live by our enthusiasm for the outdoors, our commitment to conservation and our desire to share all that we love about Western North Carolina.”

Fisher’s love of horses is reflected in his own professional endeavors as well. One of the four Asheville area communities he and his company have developed, The Preserve at Little Pine, will feature a full-service equestrian center with 16 stalls, an indoor riding ring, adjoining acreage, and a seemingly endless network of trails, meadows and pastures to roam. Boarding, grooming and riding services will all be available.
