Wilderness Trail’s Summer Celebration was recently honored as a “Best Community Event” in Mountain Homes magazines’ 2009 “Best of the Mountains” awards.
This Banner Elk, N.C. community’s annual celebration of the season – held Aug. 17 in 2008 and soon in its third year – brings family, friends and area newcomers together for a variety of entertainment. Activities include a golf tournament, musical performances, a blueberry picking contest, children’s games and more.
