GREENVILLE, SC – On Tuesday, July 14th, The Reserve at Lake Keowee announced the sale of its 600th homesite. Since the project began in 2001, the Reserve has sold over 600 of the 1,600 homesites that are available. Early sales were primarily to second homeowners, but recently The Reserve has seen an increase in the number of people who have bought primary residences. Over the years, approximately forty percent of the buyers have been from the greater Atlanta area, but that trend has recently shifted, making room for continued growth from the Northeast and Midwest markets.
To date, The Reserve has sold more than $324,000,000 worth of real estate, which includes the resale of homes. The S.C. Homebuilders Association recently awarded a home built by The Berry Group a Pinnacle Award, which is given for outstanding craftsmanship in the construction of quality homes.
“Whether it’s a primary residence or a home away from home, we are pleased that our community is able to attract residents from across the country,” said Chuck Pigg, Vice President of Greenwood Communities and Resorts and The Reserve at Lake Keowee’s Community Manager. “Our community continues to thrive thanks to our first class amenities set on the backdrop of beautiful Lake Keowee.”
