On Saturday, June 20th, excited residents of St. James Plantation welcomed Mary McCormack, star of the hit USA Network series “In Plain Sight,” to The Members Club for a relaxed meet and greet. Proud St. James Plantation resident, and father, Bill McCormack, was her sidekick for the afternoon, helping to hand out t-shirts and autographed pictures. Mary took time to answer questions and say hello to all who attended the two-hour event.
In Plain Sight follows character Mary Shannon (played by McCormack) as she protects and manages relocated Federal Witnesses. Witnesses under her care can be anything from career criminals, to murderers to the innocent who had the misfortune of witnessing a crime. Mary’s partner, Marshall Mann (Fred Weller), is her polar opposite. While Mary and Marshall spend a good amount of time bantering and disagreeing about most things, they make a great team and always get the job done.
Mary McCormack was born in Plainfield, New Jersey, and was a graduate at Trinity College. She last appeared as a series regular on “The West Wing” and had a recurring character on the critically acclaimed NBC series “ER.” Among many movie performances, McCormack was seen opposite John Cusack and Samuel L. Jackson in Stephen King’s riveting thriller, “1408.”
McCormack’s breakout performance opposite Howard Stern in “Private Parts” won her universally critical acclaim. She also appeared in a Broadway production of “Cabaret.”
She resides with her husband Michael and kids in Los Angeles.
