The Preserve at Little Pine in Marshall, NC will become the newest spot for DIY Network’s Blog Cabin. DIY and DIYnetwork.com invite the world to participate in “citizen design” to help create a vacation home that will be documented in a 10-part TV series premiering on Thursday, Aug. 20 at 9 p.m. ET and destined for one lucky sweepstakes winner.
Licensed contractor and home improvement expert Amy Matthews will host the third season of Blog Cabin. Numerous DIY expert hosts, such as landscape contractor Ahmed Hassan (Yard Crashers, Blog Cabin Season 2) licensed contractor Jason Cameron (Desperate Landscapes, Man Caves), licensed contractor Matt Blashaw (Project Xtreme, Deconstruction), stone and mason craftsmen Dean Marsico and Derek Stearns (Indoors Out, Rock Solid), project manager Matt Muenster (Bathtastic!) and master builder Jimmy DiResta (Against the Grain) will join Matthews to bring the mountainside retreat to life. DIY’s Blog Cabin is being built in cooperation with Renaissance Ventures and The Preserve Communities.
The Preserve at Little Pine is a 1,800-acre mountain community that features a limited number of homes situated within a pristine and natural woodland environment. Elevations reach 4,000 feet and provide scenic views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. A large portion of the natural setting is permanently protected as a conservation area. Amenities include miles of hiking trails, an equestrian center, a mountain lodge, pond-side pavilion and observatory.
