Mountain Homes magazine recently honored The Preserve at Wolf Laurel’s Buck House, naming the 1904 Colonial Revival home a “Best Surprise Amenity” as part of the publication’s 2009 Best of the Mountains Awards. The historic house, constructed of local chestnut and poplar and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, now serves as a bed and breakfast for guests. The interior exhibits photos of the original owners, the Buck family, while a music room and parlor welcome guests.
