Amelia Island Plantation Hosts Summer Golf Tournaments

June 14, 2010Amelia Island Plantation will host three different golf tournaments this summer:  the 4th Annual Guinness & Golf Weekend, the 1st Annual Retro Golf Classic, and the Jr. Pirate Golf Tournament Series.

The 4th Annual Guinness & Golf Weekend will take place on September 3rd and 4th and will begin with a Boardwalk Bash, which features live Irish entertainment and $2 Guinness and Smithwick’s Irish Ale.

The shotgun tournament begins at 1 p.m. on September 4th.  Tickets are $85 per person and include a box lunch, drink tickets, prizes, and all participants are automatically entered to win a golf trip for two.

Participants have the option of staying in a deluxe ocean-view room for only $149* per night.

The 1st Annual Retro Golf Classic will be held on Friday, August 6th at 2 p.m. and will benefit Relay for Life.

Tickets for this 70s themed shotgun tournament are $85 per person and include a box lunch, drink tickets, prizes, and all participants are entered to win a golf trip for two to Orange County National in Orlando, FL.

Participants have the option of staying in a deluxe ocean-view room for only $149* per night.

The Jr. Pirate Golf Tournament Series is a five day series for juniors of all skill levels for ages 16 and under.

The tournaments will be held on the following days at 2 p.m.:

Tuesday, June 29th-Amelia River, front 9

Tuesday, July 113th-Ocean Links, front 9

Monday, July 26th-Ocean Links, back 9
Monday August 9th-Oak Marsh, front 9
Monday August 16th-Oak Marsh, back 9
